DISTRICT INFORMATION
WHO WE ARE
District 7690 lies in the Piedmont Region of North Carolina. It stretches from the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains down to the Sandhills of Pinehurst. The district includes the major metropolitan areas of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point.
Rotary District 7690 includes the following counties: Surry, Yadkin, Davie, Stokes, Forsyth, Davidson, Rockingham, Guilford, Randolph, Montgomery, Caswell, Alamance, Chatham, Lee, and Moore.

Meet Our District 7690 Governor
Mark Brandon | District 7690 Governor | 2025–2026
Mark is a passionate Rotarian who believes the heart of Rotary lies in its clubs. Inspired by the people within this great organization, he is dedicated to assisting club presidents and strengthening Rotary’s impact in communities.
Born and raised in Yadkinville, NC, Mark studied business at Surry Community College and Gardner-Webb University. He obtained his insurance license in 1997 and began his career as a salesperson at Ireland Insurance Agency in Yadkinville. In 2007, he became the majority owner of the agency and has successfully led the business ever since.
Mark married Brandy Phillips of East Bend they have been married for 26 years, and together they have built a beautiful family. They have three children--Madilyn (Maddy), Olivia (Liv), and Samuel. Mark and Brandy have called Winston-Salem home since 1998.
At just 25, Mark joined Rotary for networking but quickly discovered a deep passion for service and fellowship. Over the past 25 years, he has experienced many unforgettable Rotary Moments, but one stands out the most: when his club in Yadkin County rallied around his family after their 8-year-old daughter Liv was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2011. His club actively participated in the annual JDRF Walk for a Cure, helping his family & team raise over $100,000 in the past 11 years to support diabetes research.
Mark’s Rotary career has included many positions and achievements, including: Major Donor, Paul Harris Society Member, Former Assistant Governor, and a two-time club president (2003-2004, 2020-2021).
Beyond Rotary and his business, Mark enjoys writing and playing music, hitting the golf course, and indulging in his lifelong passion for snow skiing. He and Brandy also share a love for traveling and exploring new places.
